The Institute is constantly working on the behalf of members to ensure the voice of Building Control professionals is heard, ensuring the future of the Building Sector as a whole is working towards professionalism and quality building outcomes for all New Zealanders.
Our advocacy role works to protect the reputation of our profession through setting and maintaining professional standards and lifting the exposure of Building Control work with the public and its importance to the New Zealand economy.

BOINZ policy responses to 2024/25 Legislative initiatives
Since the formation of the coalition government at the end of 2023, the Minister of Building and Construction has announced a number of initiatives and legislative positions premised around the principles of housing affordability and availability.

Please send all feedback to BOINZ at ea@boinz.org.nz no later than Friday 14th February, to allow BOINZ to provide a measured response to this important consultation. BOINZ invites your feedback and contribution on this review and will consider all suggestions for inclusion in our submission to MBIE by 28th February.
