If the changes proceed as proposed, we see there will be three variants of copper alloy fittings in the New Zealand market that will add delays and costs for BCAs when processing building consent applications and undertaking inspections of water supply systems.

In this submission we look at the variants and suggest that for the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders only one product specification for the three regulatory requirements above be adopted.
