Why Become a Member?

The Institute strives to raise the status and advance the interests of the profession of Building Controls. The Institute encourages members to develop a better understanding of the responsibilities and duties imposed by Acts and Regulations. To achieve this the Institute facilitates opportunities for the members to meet, correspond and interchange knowledge relevant to the science of building control in New Zealand.      Receiving up-to-date and regular information on topics relating to the building control sector in New Zealand.
     The opportunity to become involved with the Institute - serve your Branch as an Executive Committee member and influence the direction of the Building Control sector.

Membership Information

Membership of the Institute is open to all individuals, companies, and/or organisations that are engaged in or have an interest in any of the fields within Building Controls.

Upon submission, your membership application will be presented to the Institute’s board for approval which occurs at the end of every month. Processing of applications can take up to 1 - 2 weeks, depending on the date of receipt in the National Office.

Membership subscriptions work on a yearend billing cycle. Subscriptions become due as at the 1st January each year.
